Edit Approval Steps

This guide explains how to make changes to an approval workflow after it’s been added to a project.

When to Edit an Approval Workflow in a Project

You should edit the workflow when:

  • The approval process requires modification for the specific project.
  • Users or documents need to be adjusted per step.
  • You want to change step names, behavior, or sequence directly in the project.

To Edit Approval Workflow in a Project

  1. From the workflow stage, click the Edit Approval Workflow link.

  2. On the approval workflow page, find the step you want to edit.
  3. Click the kebab menu to the right of the step name.
  4. Choose from the following options:
  • Manage Step Details: Allows you to adjust step name, description, approval step type, and approval method.
  • Manage Approvers and Content: Allows you to update team members for the approval step, email settings, and content included for approval.
  • Make a Copy: Make a duplicate of the current step.
  • Remove: Delete the step from the workflow.
